Aurosus Contrabass flute
The bass flute is an organ instrument that has the lowest range in the flute family, lower than the traditional bass flute. Usually in the key of C, but there are others. It has a lower range than a typical bass flute, usually starting at C2 and ending at C6 or C7. This allows the bass flute to play deep, rich basses and even produce powerful sounds. Despite its very low range, the bass flute has a beautiful and full tone, making it an indispensable instrument in wind bands.
Unlike traditional flutes, bass flutes are usually made of metal and are often bent into a "U" shape for easier handling. The instrument usually has a long, curved pipe that the player blows. Due to its huge size, the bass flute requires a special stand to keep it balanced.
The bass flute's tone is deep and expansive, sometimes described as "mystical" or "spiritual". Because of its distinctive tone, it is often used in solo or bass-heavy music. In modern music, this instrument is often used to create big and spectacular sound effects. The tube body is made of cupronickel, and the sound is transparent and full.
